Great work, love the lighting.

Quick question, is that a 3d model of hubble, or is it a nasa hubble pic, the reason i ask is that i am actually making a high poly 3d model of hubble with that level of detail (and much more closeup), and i wasnt aware that any others existed. I certainly didnt come across any 3D ones close to that good in my research, i am guessing you must have modelled it yourself?

Its a 3D model, but not made by me. I just created surfaces on it.

Hubble's ultimate fate? Well, if it doesn't crash through our atmosphere, yeah. This is a great tribute to that wonderful telescope. Very beautiful. :D

I'd much rather imagine the final fate of Hubble as you have it - slowly wandering off into the depths of space. It's more likely to be de-orbited into the Pacific Ocean in flamey-bits. Your concept is far more romantic and appealing. Nice specular reflections off of the solar panels.

I must say the lighting is the one thing i notice, the light reflected on the solar panel and the rock surface, its really great! So does the texture and the model of the hubble :D

The model of Hubble has been downloaded, but materials on it like aluminium foil solar panels etc. have been made by me, also the rocks. And finally the optical flares are plugin for after effects :)
